Literature Text

There's a place far away where the barren landscape
Is raped by relentless gales
A world where skeletons dance to the Deadman's Song
And the nights are filled with their wails

Blazing daylight brings sweltering heat
Moon brings with it fatal chill
And one can never know just what they shall find
For Death may lurk just o'er the next hill

The endless dunes and unceasing winds
Enjoy playing tricks on the mind
One moment there may be a town up ahead and
The next instant, nothing to find

And before your eyes, that lush oasis
Will fade back into the sweltering air
For in this land of Death and Illusion
What you see isn't always what's there
Well, this was inspired by the land of Alabasta in the anime and manga One Piece, hence my reference to pirates(whenever you see the word Deadman or Deadmen, yes, always capitalized, in something I write, I'm talking about :ahoy:!) Alabasta is a desert country, of course. So... we now have a poem about a fictional desert in a world with lots and lots of pirates! :headbang:
